The Summit is the UK’s flagship knowledge dissemination event for the electricity and gas energy network operators. It offers a single platform where delegates can access the major learnings from the largest regulator-funded innovation projects in the country – the Network Innovation Competitions (NICs) Network Innovation Allowance (NIA) and Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF).
The Summit is managed by Energy Networks Association and builds on a decade-long legacy as being the go-to conference for network innovation. Previously known as the Energy Networks Innovation Conference (ENIC), the event was rebranded to The Summit in 2022 as part of a new collaboration with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, Innovate UK, Ofgem and Regen, opening the UK's leading energy innovation event up to wider industry as well as attracting new domestic and international delegates.

The Summit 2024 will take place on 29 - 30 October at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool at the ACC.
This year, the Energy Innovation Summit is focused on the topic of “Accelerating innovation to deliver net zero”. Summit conversations will be centred on learning how innovation to date can strategically support the delivery of targets and identifying the innovation challenges to achieve the Net Zero targets.

We heard from top industry speakers and spoke to fellow innovators, at an event packed with companies offering cutting edge solutions. The Summit examined how innovation can accelerate progress in vital areas such as the net zero transition and supporting consumers in vulnerable situations, as well as examining the role of innovation in tackling supply chain issues, while also making the most of innovations from around the world to solve challenges here in the UK.
