The SIWA Group's mission for 2024 and 2025 was for companies and their trade unions to work collectively and collaboratively across the industry to support and empower individuals working alone, and promote positive guidance around managing lone working.
The groups mission support the overall aims of Powering Improvement, the theme’s focus was also on improving overall engagement across the sector and encouraging staff at all levels of organisations to feel empowered, engaged and supported, leading to an engaged and healthier workforce. It is key for all workers to feel a sense of care from their employers, and the sector as a whole.

Managing Lone Working Risk
This output is a good practice guidance e-booklet, aimed at management level colleagues within the electricity networks industry, sharing learning and providing good practice for those who manage or oversee individuals working alone or remote.

Guidance for Lone Workers
This output is for field staff and office colleagues across the industry, focusing on providing guidance to lone workers themselves. The video follows employees in different scenarios, coming face to face with the public, switching in substations, line walking in remote locations and working from home.
