Cable and Accessories Panel (CAP)

CAP has been effecive as a forum for discussion and debate since 2002 and is well established as a point of contact for those manufacturing or supplying cable in the UK.

The panel is the industry focal point for the maintainence of ENA specifications and monitors updates of British, European and International standards. The panel also work with other bodies (i.e. The British Cables Association) on key issues affecting the UK cable networks. The panel is  currently looking at a variety of issues including insulation shrinkage and standardising link boxes and considers the technical aspects of all cable related equipment up to the point of connection.

A key benefit of this panel is that network operators can inform manufacturers of required standards allowing manufacturers to explore solutions more effectively.
