The Head of Data & Digitalisation, reporting to the Director of Innovation and Electricity Systems, will take a matrix management approach, working with ENA’s Member organisations and across all ENA Departments to progress the digitalisation of the UK Energy Networks. While based in the Innovation & Electricity Systems Directorate, the role is cross-departmental as many aspects of the Energy Networks will need to be digitalised and must take a data driven approach to enable a transition to a smart, flexible energy system.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified SHE professional with a proven track record in developing strategies to advance collective SHE activities.  Candidates must hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and hold Associate membership of IOSH.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of SHE, with two staff reports, will be responsible for managing ENA’s electricity SHE function to ensure that it effectively and efficiently meets member companies’ needs as well as directing work in support of the Electricity Industry’s five year H&S strategy, ‘Powering Improvement’.

We are seeking a suitably knowledgeable and highly motivated person to join our Innovation Team within the Innovation & Electricity Systems Department to assist in managing a complex and interesting programme of work for ENA’s electricity member companies. A Net Zero future is bringing great changes in the way that networks are developed and operated in order to meet new customer demands and the mass roll-out of distributed energy resources (DER).  The successful applicant will have the opportunity to play an active role in this exciting work, provide inputs that shape future direction of Network development and contribute to the live discussion and debates on the key topics affecting our industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our Innovation & Electricity Systems team providing support for ENA’s member companies. The role will support the Director of Innovation & Electricity Systems and Head of Engineering in facilitating and leading industry working groups assigned to manage and develop protection, power quality, earthing and tele-communications policy for application on the UK Transmission and Distribution Electricity Networks.

The role also exists to provide a facilitating link between the industry working groups and delivery of Transmission and Distribution industry technical standards and specifications relating to industry, best practices and technical requirements required to comply with UK H&S legislation.

An important aspect of the role will be the ability to work in close collaboration and engage with senior industry members, industry technical specialists, industry stakeholders, national regulators, government departments and other industry related bodies/organisations.
