Welcome to ENA's Key Stage Three education area. This section is full of information for children, parents and teachers, designed to fit the requirements for Key Stage Three. These pages have been optimised for use in a classroom environement. |
During Key Stage 3, pupils are encouraged to get to grips with a range of familiar applications of science, such as how gas and electricity work in domestic and industrial contexts, and use scientific ideas and models to explain phenomena. Other important aspects of the curriculum at this stage are the positive and negative effects of scientific and technological developments on the environment. Energy is a particularly relevant topic for study in this area. Being able to recognise hazardous situations, and take steps to minimise risk to themselves and others, is also important at Key Stage 3.
