Electricity is a wonderful thing, but, like all powerful forces, it can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Electrical current can cause an electrical shock which can kill you. There is enough power in a household socket to kill you. Sometimes, if electrical equipment is broken, or not being used safely, it is easy for our bodies to become exposed to electrical current. The danger is that when that happens instead of flowing safely through insulated electrical wires, the electricity will flow through our bodies. The human body is not designed to carry electrical current, and cannot cope with it.
