gas: resources for KS1 & 2

Air is a gas, so is the smoke from a fire or the steam from a kettle. Anything which isn’t solid, like wood, or liquid, like water, but floats around like exhaust fumes or bubbles in a fizzy drink, is a gas.

We use a special form of gas at home to help us make life more comfortable. This special gas is very useful because we can burn it safely inside our homes to heat things up. Here are three different ways we can use gas at home:

To help us cook To heat water for our baths and showers To heat our homes

See if you can think of three more.
