Batteries are a good way to store electricity so that we can use it in all sorts of different places, especially outside or when we are on the move.

They work by getting two different ingredients, acid and metal, to react together to create energy which can be converted into electrical energy.

We use batteries in all sorts of different ways. Here are a few :
