Last call for early birds attending energy sector’s premier safety event

The deadline for ‘early birds’ who want to save £50 per delegate when attending SHE 2008 (the Energy Industry Safety, Health & Environment Management Conference) is looming. The discount for those booking a place online expires on February 28th.

SHE 08, the energy sector’s premier safety event, is organized by ENA and will be held on 24th-25th April 2008 at Oulton Hall in Leeds. For the first time the conference has broadened its remit to include gas. Along with its increased scope, SHE 08 will include keynote presentations from Lord McKenzie of Luton, Parliamentary Undersecretary of State with responsibility for health and safety and Geoffrey Podger, Chief Executive of the Health & Safety Executive.

Peter Coyle, Head of Safety, Health, & Environment of ENA said ‘SHE 08 is unique conference. It provides a forum for all stakeholders – employers, employees, trade unions and regulators - to network, share best practice and review significant SHE issues. It also has an unparalleled range of presentations and classes from acknowledge experts. Lectures and micro-classes this year will look at such topics as sustainability, rehabilitation, EMFs and the role of safety representatives.

"If you need to know what is happening with safety, health and environment in the energy industry, you need to attend SHE2008."
