Premier Energy Industry Event Announces Speakers

The initial line-up for SHE2009 – the leading annual energy industry safety event – has been announced. Among the keynote speakers are Chair of the HSE Judith Hackitt and Dr Paul Leinster, Chief Executive of the Environment Agency. Held on April 30th and May 1st 2009 at The Guildhall in Bath, SHE09 will also address topics such as behavioural safety, director’s duties and the potential impact of climate change on safety.

Regarded as the must-attend conference for anyone who needs to know what is happening in the energy industry on safety, health and environmental issues, the first 200 delegates who book are entitled to attend a free gala reception and dinner at the Pump Room. In addition, those booking their places for SHE2009 before January 31st will receive an early bird discount £100 discount on the cost of attending.

Booking for places at the event opens on December 8th. Showing the unified nature of the conference for both the gas and electricity sectors of the energy industry, members of GISG and The Gas Forum qualify for the same discount offered to ENA, AEP and ERA members booking their place at the conference.

Peter Coyle, Director of Operations said: “SHE2009 is the premier SHE management event in the industry. It provides a unique forum for all stakeholders – employers, employees, unions and regulators to share best practice and review all the significant health, safety and environmental issues the industry is facing.”
