Gas Safety (Management) Regulations Review
The Gas Safety (Management) Regulations (GS(M)R)) were introduced as a statutory instrument, essentially to ensure the safe use and management of the flow of gas through the gas network in Great Britain. The gas networks believe it is appropriate for these regulations to be re-examined from time to time and recently carried out a consultation, through ENA, to ask for industry assistance in identifying areas for review.
The initial consultation ended on Friday 27th January 2017 and the submissions / recommendations are now being reviewed by the Steering Group. Expert task groups will be formed in March 2017 to liaise with key stakeholders to develop and produce the final recommendations.
The consultation pack is available to download for reference purposes.
You can view the non-confidential responses here to see some of the issues that have been raised.
The first meeting of the Steering Group took place on the 8th February. The minutes are available here.
