Electric Vehicle Fora

Our Electric Vehicle Fora aim to provide electricity network companies and their stakeholders an opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities that EVs present to both network operators and the wider energy industry. Networks are at the forefront of facilitating the EV roll-out and want to hear from stakeholders about the issues they are facing when connecting to the networks and how collaboration can be increased to improve arrangements.

Two identical events will be held in London on the 5th February 2019 and Glasgow on the 18th February 2019. Please make sure to select the right event when reserving tickets.

The forum is an opportunity for EV stakeholders and DNOs to discuss the steps that are being taken to facilitate the rollout of EVs.

  • A platform to share an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with connecting EVs to the network from a network, government, regulatory (Ofgem) and wider stakeholder point of view.
  • An opportunity for EV stakeholders and Ofgem to understand, and provide feedback on, the steps that networks companies are taking to prepare for the potential rollout of EVs. This includes dissemination of the new process and form for notifying DNOs of EV charge point installations.
  • An opportunity for network companies and Ofgem to gain a better understanding of the needs of EV stakeholders.
  • A springboard for ongoing closer engagement between DNOs, EV stakeholders and Ofgem.
