Looking at Future Energy Scenarios

Last week ENA member National Grid launched it's 2017 Future Energy Scenarios (FES) report, which looks at a number of different scenarios for our energy market in a fast changing world. In it's role as both a transmission network operator and System Operator, National Grid plays an important role as part of ENA's Open Networks Project. The Project not only seeks to define how the role and responsibilities of local electricity networks are changing but also how they will interact with the wider national network as our market goes through a major transformation. In a guest blog this week, Joseph Donohoe from National Grid System Operator and Chairman of Open Networks Project's communications workstream highlights the outcomes of this year's FES announcement, which showcased the changes we are seeing to our energy networks.
